How do I get there?
    Located just 40 miles north off Interstate 80 with Scotts Bluff National Monument as our city’s scenic backdrop.  The rich history of the Oregon, Mormon and California Trails will guide convention delegates to Gering along the Western Trails Historic and Scenic Byway…..the front entrance to the Gering Civic Center.  Metro populations’ drives to Gering are Rapid City, SD (204 miles), Casper, WY (175 miles), Denver, CO (203 miles) and Lincoln, NE (396 miles).

Where would we meet?
    The Gering Civic Center is a 25,500 sq. ft. multi-function conference and meeting facility; Western Nebraska’s premier convention center.  The Grand Ballroom is the perfect setting for state, regional and national conventions and accommodates groups up to 1,000 people in theatre style seating.   The Civic Center offers eight (8) meeting rooms and the spacious lobby and atrium areas are the perfect setting for vendors, displays and hospitality receptions.

    The Gering Civic Center does NOT charge a “gratuity or service” fee, providing a substantial cost savings to your association.  Audiovisual requirements are met free of charge for all conference and meeting groups at the Gering Civic Center.
     In early 2009, the Gering Civic Center’s facilities will take on a new look during a facility renovation that will expand our Grand Ballroom meeting space and enhance overall meeting services with new lighting, carpeting, sound system and new state of the art audiovisual equipment.

Tell me about unique locations for off-site meetings and event venues?
    Gering has outstanding natural and scenic beauty that is best showcased at Five Rocks Amphitheater; less than ½ mile from the front door of the Civic Center.  This venue hosts “movies under the stars” and concerts during the summer months; Five Rocks Amphitheater provides a unique and casual setting for cocktail receptions, chuck wagon cookouts and evening musical performances for conference attendees.
    Monument Shadows Golf Course offers the most breathtaking views in the area along with play at Gering’s challenging 18-hole course.  The 19th Hole Clubhouse, Mulligans is the perfect setting for cocktail receptions, small meetings and special events.

What about a true taste of Gering?
