Oregon Trail Days – 2nd Weekend in July

Nebraska’s oldest celebration, a four-day event welcomes visitors to experience the history of the Oregon Trail in a truly western event with parades, concerts, street dances, food fairs and art shows. Featured highlights include the CASI Chili Cook-Off, Bed Races, the Oregon Trail Art Show and Grand Parade. The 2010 celebration dates are July 15-18.
      
How to Get There:
Downtown Gering (along 10th Street) serves as headquarters for many events, together with activities in Legion and Oregon Trail Park.

Hours:
Daily events begin on Thursday through Sunday beginning at 7am to 11pm.
